Salary Range: Grade E1 to E6 - 30,763 to 34,033

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with significant and proven experience of working in a regulatory financial environment and experience of quality control, compliance and of working with external/internal auditors. Enterprise Credit Union - Marketing and Communication Officer

Role: To lead on marketing activity in order to develop and deliver ECU’s Growth strategy. To design and implement multi-channel marketing plans and activities and products (both digitally and traditionally) at a corporate and local level, often in partnership with other organisations and partner bodies. To  ensure the products within Enterprise Credit Union are fit for purpose to support the continued growth of the business and  proactively support the work of the Community and Business Relationship Team

Reports to: Community and Business Manager

Salary Banding: £23,000 - £25,000 per year (full time position)

Person Profile:

You are a team player, working within the Community and Business Relationship team to assist in helping the team to grow and develop. You will be proactive in implementing the marketing plan in line with the credit unions overall business plan, with a view to increasing membership, the loan book and other associated products relevant to the organisation.
You have an interest in and are enthusiastic about all aspects of the credit unions social media.
You will support the expansion of the membership, help to increase the profitability of the credit union and manage membership relations.
You are a great communicator both verbally and written

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and driven Business Development Professional on a permanent basis to grow our business in line with our Strategic Goals
• Are you experienced in developing and delivering against Business Development Plans?
• Are you driven and proactive in your approach to securing new business?
• Are you able to build long lasting relationships and influence senior stakeholders?

Qualifications:
Essential: Business Management related degree or equivalent experience

Experience:
Essential: Experience of working in a similar proactive business development role. Sector
experience; financial services, credit union, insurance, retail credit etc. Experience of creating
successful business plans and delivering against them. Experience of exceeding sales targets.
Highly Desirable: Experience of working within our 'common bond' e.g. Military, Airlines,
Transport, Logistics or Engineering

Knowledge / Abilities:
Essential: How to build and deliver successful business development plans. An understanding
of the expectations of regulatory bodies in relation to financial services and our sector.
Desirable: Knowledge of the financial services sector, ideally Credit Unions

OTHER INFORMATION: Candidates must hold a full driving licence and have access to their
own vehicle. You will be required to meet with potential partners (where safe to do so) at their
business premises and should expect to spend some of your time on the road as well as
proactively generating business in other ways.
Salary: £40-£45k per annum +10k bonus potential +laptop and mobile
Location: Harlington, Middlesex but can be flexible

Save and Sound Volunteer Profile - Oral History Interviewer

About the Project Save and Sound is an oral history and heritage project that has been set up by the Credit Union Foundation to make sure that the early days of credit unions in Britain are not forgotten.
The project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and has been made possible by money raised by National Lottery players. It will run until October 2021.
This phase of the project will focus on credit unions in the north of England.
The Credit Union Foundation aims to extend its work across the country in the future.
The interviews will become part of the national oral history collection cared for by the British Library, where they will be available to generations of researchers.
A new website will host interview clips, photos and other material collected from credit unions and digitised by volunteers. By collecting and sharing the unique personal memories of a diverse range of credit union pioneers, Save and Sound will help many more people learn about the history and heritage of credit unions.

London Capital Credit Union has a new ‘Young Saver’ so is looking to recruit a part time loan underwriter to provide assistance during maternity absence.

The initial period is for 6 months, with hours to suit the right candidate.

This year we have a number of vacancies on the Board for Non-Executive Directors. All appointments to the Board will be approved by members.
We are looking for members across all demographics in Liverpool with skills and experience in any of the following areas:
• Credit union knowledge and/or working knowledge
• Community work and/or charity work including social enterprises
• Setting up and/or managing your own business • Strategic and/or operational expertise in a financial services organisation.
• Specialisms in the area of accountancy, legal, finance, governance, human resources, IT and risk management, credit risk, regulatory compliance or unsecured lending in a financial services context.
